When will the AH exploits be addressed and the exploiters banned?

The consistent last second bids get dumb.

banned exploiters? are you kidding me?
the answer is no, this is a game without administration at all, they open the server and let player do whatever they wanted to, including exploits. they not even try to fix the bug.

Don't BS. Say 3-4 unrelated items ending over a 20 second period of time. The sniper gets them all exactly at the last second and won't bid before that. And it happens consistently over and over. Not some lucky accident.

If any of this is logged, it should not be hard to detect the consistent patterns and hand out bans where needed. Or change the system so each new bid extends the time by, say, 10 seconds.

This^^ except not 10 seconds but 5 minutes. Was like that in another game and it turned out to be extremely user friendly for most people.

The only way they get rid of this would be to add an auto-bid feature into the game, I think. This means they would have to add 'buy orders' in addition to the current 'sell orders'.

EVE Online does this and it really smothes out the market transients (and dumbs down the AH for people who don't like studying the markets).

Basically you interface with the market and say "I want to buy 50 bear prostates. The most I'm willing to pay is 20 silver per unit."

It then places the current minimim bid on a sell order for 50 bear prostates and incriments your bid by the minimum ammount (1 copper for example) until you are the lead bidder. If someone out bids you it automatically updates your bid to the minimum amount to regain the current winning bid unless that amount would exceed your '20 silver per unit' cap.

In this way sniping bids no longer matter because they have to exceed your 'max bid number' in order to win, and if they do... well, whoever sniped you is paying more than you wanted to pay anyway.

This also fixes the problem with the current system of people forgetting to set their minimum bid amount when the list an item for sale, because your item will always sell at the market rate.

The problem is with the weak tool they provide for the AH :(

If you are banking on being 'last bid in' with the current system to snipe the orders where 'minimum bid's weren't set, you are going to lost most of your bid wars and get frustrated, even if you use a stopwatch to time your orders. Too many window lickers play that meta.

You can still make a lot of money on the AH but you have to research specific markets to know when a good deal can be made in 'buy out' prices.
