Adventurers,

Please share your feedback about the new Sea of Drowned Love dungeon in this thread. While it may not affect build 4.16 before it goes live due to timing, XLGAMES is interested in hearing about your experiences with it for future builds.

To get started, speak to Archaeologist Burnar on Freedich Island to learn more about Dahuta and the Sea of Drowned Love dungeon.

Thanks!

Scapes, How are we supposed to get good enough gear for this?

The dun doesnt open with the stones so i have no idea how to "test" this. Or is it now supposed to be open yet in the test server.

The Dungeon is only open at weekends.

It's the weekend, we still have no way to get the stones unless the npcs just randomly appear.

Not sure if it's relevant but the game's internal database entry still shows this event to be enabled starting 7/22/2015 in the 'game_schedules' table.

There are two versions of this instance: 1 is the weekend version which is in Ynystere and the equil to that for the West ( this a 5 man instance ). 2 is the everyday instance which is located not too far from Freedich. ( this is the 10 man instance )

I do have to agree that the gear that we were given will not suffice in being able to properly test the instance. I am sure more organized groups can do it, but PUGs won't be able to unless they practice. Not saying that will always be the case, but for the most part I feel this to be true.

From what i've heard, you need Serpentis Ring to actually be able to finish 10-men instance. Since you don't have it in PTS and it's like impossible to get, you cannot test that instance properly.
For the 5-men one, that one is easy as hell and most of the testers already tested it in Alpha.

Can anyone confirm if the weekend dungeon is in the game?

Can anyone confirm if the weekend dungeon is in the game?

Can we please get an answer on this? It's a simple question.

These are both true. Clearing serpentis is basically a pre req. The 5 man is just one boss on the weekend and it is killable and working fine.

10-man is working fine

Tested it with 10 other people all in full epherium unique gear.

1. Dungeon is very doable in epherium tier gear.
2. you will need a dream ring to beat boss

Not wanting to spoil anything about the fight, dungeon is fully functional, and is targeted appropriately. It is not overly easy but assuming you can get dream-ring you should be able to clear the dungeon without much issue.

Added some additional information on the 2 versions of this instance to patch notes:

The Sea of Drowned Love instance comes in two flavors: a weekend-only 5-person instance, entered via portals in Marianople, Caernord and Growlgate when available, and an always-available 10-person instance, entered beneath the sea south of Freedich using Open Tsunami Stones.

Sea of Drowned Love – Weekend Group-5
- Available for entry 5 times per day on Saturday and Sunday server time, for a party of 2 to 5 players.
- Seek out the Nui’s Shield Investigators in Marianople, Caernord, or Growlgate for dungeon quests.
- All party members will need a Minor Tsunami Stone available to enter the instance.
- This version of the Sea of Drowned Love is an easier instance intended for normal groups.

Sea if Drowned Love – Daily Group-10
- Available for entry at any time using Open Tsunami Stones, which can be obtained via daily quest (3 granted per day) and additionally via the Loyalty Store for 5 Loyalty Tokens each. This version of the dungeon is intended for a group of 2-10 players, though you’ll want to err on the side of 10.
- Seek out Archeologist Burnar on Freedich for his quest, Shipwreck Omens, to start the chain that leads to the Tsunami Stone daily quest (Witch’s Song).
- All party members will need an Open Tsunami Stone to enter the instance.
- This version of the Sea of Drowned Love is a difficult instance intended for groups already tackling Serpentis.

So we have been farming this dungeon in live and after 5 clears in under 1hr we are now locked out it says " Youve player this dungeon too frequently in too short of a time period. Please try again later." Is this a common thing? or a bug?
