I think it was a bad idea to take away the proficiency requirements for crafting. I've spent thousands of gold crafting to level weaponry. now anyone can make up to epherium with only the mats. don't have to have any points into the trade. seems like a big let down to those who have devoted themselves to the trade and had realistic goals to achieve. same goes for armor crafting.

Well to be fair the main limiter in crafting has always been Archeum not proficiency, but I do understand your concern. I thought only mag was was craftable with low prof?

Unless you're talking about handicrafts then the bottle neck is labor. It would take 250,000+ tier 1 jewelry items to make 1 Ayanad accessory.

He's pointing out that the reqs are way reduced now. Only req is 10k at Epherium, 25k at Delphinad but 75k for Ayanad.

Magnificent has no requirements anymore. epherium is the one that starts the requirement. it appears as if the obsidian weapons will be like a hasla type thing. grind mobs to get the pieces. and i thought i saw that they will be more powerful than craftable weapons. not positive on that though.

Obsidian is good, but high tier craftables can still be "better" from what I recall, not to mention you still need illustrious/etc to even craft obsidian so its not all downhill for weaponcrafters. Now theres something that can be done with "failed" illustrious weapons

Regardless of other bottlenecks, I'm not thrilled with the drop in proficiency either. I haven't seen a reason that I believe justifies it. That said, it's not a showstopper for me.

oh well, guess you have to roll with the punches. they aren't going to change anything back to the way it is. that's not how trion works from my experience. someone on my server already made an obsidian shield and regraded it to divine. how is that even possible? lol

Its not hard if you know what you needed before hand (info IS out there). Hell I have 3 weapons ready for obsidian and I don't even really grind gear that hard

That's because the high level crafters know this is a casino that never pays out, so they lowered the bar so more suckers ...er...players would have access to the expensive gear lottery.

It's just like everything else in MMO's, when a 'new best' is added to the game, the 'old best' items are made easier to get.

Ayanad has been added to the game as the 'new best', so delph stuff, which is now the 'old best' has been made easier to obtain by lowering the requirements to make it.

On the bright side, the time you spent leveling up now goes towards being able to make Ayanad equipment, so be happy about that.
