I am not sure when this happent... for me i only now noticed... but when i try to plant corals, the whole thing is moving, making it impossible to place corals with any kind of precision.

The whole screen shifts and moves with the water movement making placement very difficult. is it just me or can anyone relate to my problems?

I can relate to your problem. Zooming in the camera to first person view helped me with coral planting.

Are you perhaps using a beach house when previously you were using a normal aquafarm? The normal ones you don't get any movement (or at least I never noticed any) but the beach house ones are closer to the surface and the beach and seem to be affected by currents or something. Can be VERY annoying when trying to place something in a tight space.

haven't really had much issue planting coral under the bungalow as long as your camera is underwater too, there is a little up and down motion but it isn't that bad. Also 2 Deja's

Set water quality to low and disable reflections, should help.

If its on a bungalow, just swim up with your head up under the lttle porches under water, and you will stand perfectly still.
