Greetings Adventurers! Here's a small recap of the topics we covered on today's livestream!

The August Update is coming on August 17 – Next week we’re releasing the August Update and it’s going to contain two major new features: the highly-anticipated split event schedule and a public testing phase for the Skill Queue and Korean versions of skills. If you want a sneak peek of the patch notes, look no further than your local public test server (http://forums.archeagegame.com/showthread.php?288587).

For more information on how daily events will be changing in ArcheAge, make sure to read the new event schedule right here (http://forums.archeagegame.com/showthread.php?288427).

What’s this about the Skill Queue Public Test? – In order to really see how Skill Queue works, we need to test it in mass combat and with real players playing on real servers. We’ve been testing and working on the system for months, and we’ve done focused tests with players on the ETS server (thank you ETS testers!) but now it’s time for the system to visit the live servers.

We’ll be monitoring the system, and your feedback, closely, but we want to hear what all of you think of the new skill queue for at least a month. Next week, before the update, a thread will be opened to collect your thoughts and feedback on this new style of combat. We look forward to your thoughts and opinions after you get a chance to try it out.

For those of you who are unsure what Skill Queue and Korean versions of skills are, this new system will allow ArcheAge North America and Europe to behave more like its Korean counterpart in terms of combat. Currently, we’ve taken 4 skills and changed their functionality to improve battle for those with high ping times. They are Triple Slash, Rapid Strikes, Endless Arrows, and Mana Stars.

In our current version, a press of a key will unleash all three strikes of Triple Slash at once, or a flurry of Rapid Strikes, or a volley of Endless Arrows. In the new version, a single key press will result in only one action being performed – a single slash, a single arrow, etc. This will allow players to better weave skills together during combat, such as executing a heal between Triple Slash hits.

Skill Queue will allow players with higher pings to continue to fight on the same level as their lower ping counterparts. This way no one is at a greater disadvantage while in battle. The system will also dynamically speed up or speed down combat depending on who is involved and what their ping times are. After this update, you may notice some skills will fire more slowly when you are alone versus when you’re in a mass combat situation. That is the skill queue attempting to adjust your combat speed to match the others in combat.

Again, we look forward to getting your feedback on this new system!

Two new limited time events! – Do you like fishing? Do you like killing gigantic monsters? If so, you’ll enjoy the two new limited time quests entering the game with the August Update! For more information on how to participate, check out the PTS Patch Notes (http://forums.archeagegame.com/showthread.php?288587).

What’s coming in the ArcheAge Anniversary Update and Player Q&A – We ended our livestream with a barrage of information that covered many major topics in the community. We talked about the September Update and some of the upcoming additions in that update, including the ability to wear underwear, sort your teleport book, set the way you auto-roll on loot received by a party, migrate your base statistics to further customize your character, increase the speed on submarines, add awesome weapon glows to regraded weapons, and more. You can hear the full list of features in the livestream (https://www.twitch.tv/trionworlds/v/83257887?t=25m13s).

We also answered a slew of questions from the community. To hear that list (it’s literally a constant barrage of information) definitely drop by the livestream. (https://www.twitch.tv/trionworlds/v/83257887?t=31m47s)

That’s all for this week, Adventurers! We won’t be around next week as we’ll be traveling to Gamescom, but we’ll see you again in two weeks on August 26! If you missed the livestream, remember, you can always watch the replay live on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/trionworlds/v/83257887) or YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpilxIYpDLE).

Sounds that some of the 3.0 content hits our servers in September... minor things but cool things.

So once again you guys are going to try skill queue - 4th time lucky maybe? Interesting you say the new system will try to speed you up in mass combat if you have high ping but be slower on your own? So 1 v1/PvE and grinding I take it higher ping players will again have no chance?

Clearly the system works if you live in Korea but has failed multiple times in the NA since this is an international server. You think Oceanic players after being told that events are now no longer viable for them are now going to be happy to see there skills broken again?

You cannot get around the ping issue been tried multiple times before by you guys. You wonder why populations are dying - just keep up the good work and get ready for server merges.

Just throw this garbage in the trash and move on without it.

Changing the event time so that occleera rift is now in peace will be a boost for new players trying to get slightly decent gear. Id suggest looking into making the t2 soulforged gems available to craft for those ppl.
(The good soulforged gems are currently only available from the ascension crystals event bench in mirage if you had stored those event crystals, or from the free gear packs that were given out a while ago)

Currently they can only make very crappy soulforged gems using their occleera rift tokens, so adding the recipie for the better ones would help a lot since these are 100% success gems

There was a question asked about green pirating and the effect of easy access to draught of forgiveness.

Khrolan answered saying that draughts used to be rare because they come from loyalty which only came at 5 per day , but now you can get 8 per day, plus some events have given loyalty, therefore draughts are more plentiful.....

Are you guys unaware that draughts were recently changed to also be available for 1500 honor, instead of just from loyalty.......

So people who HATE it like me can turn it off. No complains after.
