View Full Version : Should I use Shadowplay?

So I'm not to good with the class system I have been using Bonestalker (Archer, Battlerage, Aurmance) since I was level 10 I am now 34. I was wondering if I should switch out one class for Shadowplay? I would like to keep Archer though.

If you wanted more melee skills and a better Ranged combo yes. Swap aura for Shadowplay. (Outrider)
If you want to keep aura you can swap Battlerage for Shadow, and be a Primeval.
The first is less common but very strong imo, while the 2nd combo (Primeval) is easily one of the top two "meta, OP, Flavor of the month" classes that everyone plays.
Imo Primeval is faceroll to easy and not enough skill.

I would swap Aura for Shadow, you lose your only CC break, but gain alot of offensive skills and mobility.
As an outrider I would initiate with a strong engage and keep pressing the gap, stick to them and when they get out of range, use your ranged combo to finish them off.

Switching out battlerage for shadowplay is a good way to go (primeval: Archery, Shadowplay, Auremancy). It offers higher mobility, stealth, and the ability to 2-shot (overwhelm, smite: difficulty may vary :p). The main reason you want to shadowplay, because it offers better synergy with archery and auremancy.

I would link you a build, but I prefer you theorycraft one for yourself. As everyone has their own playstyle/preference, so there build is built solely to their ability and liking. Trying to play other builds sometimes can throw you off.

well u can swap Battlerage/Aura with Shadow for stealth,Archery Mark, escape skill, but seeing as u got aura u can chase people anyway but in shadow u can have skill that use the charge from ur bleeding arrow to high damage, so Shadow with Archer is a good combo

I could do it this way

I'm just not sure what one is better I could always try both and go back to the one I like right?

If I did it that way would I still have melee attacks?

yeah, but I don't understand why you want to mix range and melee at eng-game. It doesn't work so well.

you'd have to farm a decent bow, then a dual-wield set. Quick-shot is your main source of damage.

I think I will try primeval and farm for a good bow and dual weapon then some good armor. If I don't like it I can always go back and try a different set. Thank you for the help! :)
