whats point of haranya/nuia guards attacking you in safe zones? why not make them not do anything? like they just make red player cant go in certain places, like what harm if they go to big city or something? they cant attack you anyway

So that players can retreat to safety if they realize they bit off more than they could chew or accidentally attacked the red player. I guess it also makes it a bit immersive if the enemy faction player has to sneak around.

make them only attack if another player attacks then?
maybe in warzone theyd attack on sight still?

but idk, like you have to sneak around anyway. but like, is every player supposed to be a soldier or something? lol

Well, the answer is one or two things:

1. Yes, if you are going into an area with guards that attack you, it is most likely a war zone, therefore, if you don't want to be killed, then don't go near the guards. There isn't anything in the town for you anyway, unless you want to gank someone.

2. You can't really fight guards anyway, so no you don't need to be a soldier, per se, you just need to know not to get within a certain range of them

huh? the main towns tho have the guards that attack you, i think marianople has them, and cannons too.

Well it's a main city, anything that says "Nuia Alliance Controlled" or "Haranya Alliance Controlled" will have guards that kill you, except in designated areas for trade packs. I personally think they should have the ones near the trade packs attack, make it more fun and increase the price.

no one could do tradepacks then tho :(

nah they definitely could. if they made the guards kill-able, it would add a bit of roleplay to it. granted if you run from haranya to two crowns, you'd have an easier time than from two crowns to solis, since there's too often a bunch of neckbeard cat people camping the trade pack area while they down mountain dew and watch hamtaro.

lol, idk tho, killing guards just to sell things? :p

Neutral Alliance guards attack anyone who attacks while the Haranya/Nuia attack the enemy side only. The guards may have been killable in the past (?) but the most probable reason you can't really kill them now is because players could just zerg the guards and then kill the enemy faction players like in Halcyona War.

Instead right now, you have to be somewhat organized and creative to kill players with guards around. While the guards are strong, a geared player can aggro and withstand their attacks for a good amount of time (especially with certain skills and buffs). This is why even if you're running packs next to a guard, you're still not 100% safe.

Well for example, say you were being attacked by a red player and you tried to run into a village for safety. How could the guards know you're being attacked? The enemy player could remove their target from you and just stroll along, waiting to pounce. It's just easier to have them attack whenever.

Although yeah, it does seem kind of redundant now that enemy players can't attack unless you attack first in a safe zone. I'm wondering if it's just a design relic of the past when the direction had less safety involved, considering there are different "level" guards as well (the beginner zone guards are a lot weaker than ones in PvP areas).

well in safe zone only home player can attack. so if home player cant be attacked unless he attacks first, but if he does by accident or somthing, and runs away fast enough to make 'battle end', i dont think he need the guards to protect anyway lol
