View Full Version : Battlerage vs Shadowplay, or why both?

Hello, folks,

Yet another returning player with a question.

I'm looking to make a dual wielding melee character for PvE only.

Is either Battlerage or Shadowplay better than the other?

If so, and you wouldn't mind, why?

Shadowplay has nice support with poison, stealth, mark, and attack speed & evasion buff passives... so if Battlerage has the better attacks, I guess I can see a reason for both.

Also, in Battlerage I see a lot of "if tripped, if stunned, if slowed" conditions, but I don't see other attacks in that line that cause those conditions.

Anyway, any insight you can give is greatly appreciated.

Generally Battlerage is a main dps class whereas Shadowplay is seen as a supporting class for other trees such as Archery, Battlerage etc. While shadowplay has good trips and abilities, they're mostly to support the main dps trees, if you already have a main dps tree then Shadowplay is the way to go, if you're looking for a tree to main, both work with whatever you feel comfy in as a third tree
