2020) Game crashes on splash

After recent update (6/12/2020) Game crashes on splash
I get about 25% through splash screen (words go bold) and then game crashes out no error given.
windows 10 Enterprise x64, via steam AND the standard launcher.
1. Reinstalled both ways.
2. Updated all drivers
3. Started in admin elevation.
