Band-aid or not, it would show actions have consequences. It's the same thing that was done for "blocking". Blocking has dropped dramatically. It may not be a perfect fix, but it's an adequate one.

This is logging in, redeeming loyalty tokens, and then losing 104 of them by doing a character selection relog. Reading. It's fundamental.

Could be anything, or you just didn't notice how much you had at login vs relog. I have no idea what I started the day with. That character I >think< had about a couple hundred loyalty added...
