    How to Kill off Legacy

Granted, there is no easy way to kill off ALL of Legacy, but I think this method would work for a majority of the ones who are heavy PvPers.

Step 1: Show up to Halc wars, grab your quick Quest token, then wait to see if Legacy shows up to fight the war. If they do, just port out and continue doing whatever else.
Step 2: If you farm Hasla, and Legacy shows up in large numbers to just wipe out the greens, sit at the Nui for a while, or port out and do something else.
Step 3: In every other world PvP event, if Legacy shows up, just port out. Seriously.

    What does this do?

Think about it for a moment, that many members of Legacy get their kicks and enjoyment from PvPing in an environment where they have domination over the opponent. But if you take away all of their PvP engagements, these people are left in a constant state of wanting. They will start to yearn for those PvP events, and probably even try harder to find them, or resort to 5v5s or 1v1s. After a long enough time off this repeatedly happening, the ones who actually play the game for PvP will start to lose interest in the game and quit outright. If enough of them quit, Legacy loses all its "Victory by Majority" power.

Now, obviously this comes with a side-effect and one that is pretty negative too.

Legacy will no longer be contested for anything, and they will have more room to get what they want, and they might even begin trolling the East Faction during CR/GR, just because they are pissed off at the lack of PvP. It's a minor setback to the East, in all honesty, but it's all for the greater good of the Server. There are plenty of other things to do on the Server, so avoiding PvP where Legacy is concerned is as easy as standing at a Nui and hitting Recall.

While I agree, it might be boring not going to world PvP for a while, you'll be better off in the long run by spending that time doing more productive things, like farming auroria mobs for purses/cloaks. You'll get gear just that much faster because your time will not be spent giving Legacy their fill of daily world PvP.

The faster we can make their members leave the game due to sheer boredom, the better the balance of the Factions becomes and the better off the server will be.

So basically, what you are saying, is that to combat Legacy supposedly killing the server, you propose actually killing the server and having a large portion of the active player base leave. That seems like a great idea.

What I wanted to happen while being a Pirate is the east build a force, and we just set up fights between Pirates and East and deny Legacy this action. For a while, we were killing Rangora within the first 5 minutes of it spawning, we wanted to keep doing that so Legacy didn't even have a chance to zerg a world boss, and then just keep action within the east/pirates. Unfortunately, this didn't work out.

Basically, what you're saying is killing entertainment for Legacy is "killing the server". Shows how a Legacy member's mindset works.

Absolutely stopping any competition and activly trying to get a decent chunk of the active player base to leave IS killing the server. If you'd rather there be no competition and less players, then congrats, you want a deader server.

So why are you stacking exploits on exploits to zerg Morpheus instead of trying to find new strategies to defend your morpheus killers? You guys are killing any source of competition, stop talking.

Yea sorry I cannot bring myself to say this is a good way of doing it. Believe it or not, the only reason this server isn't a complete desolate wasteland is because of legacy.

Every server needs an antagonist. It needs that one guild or group who shows up everywhere and picks fights with everyone. Remove legacy, and what do you have left? They do 5x the trade runs east does - for every green turn in, Legacy turns in 5 ships, and this isn't even counting the rest of the west. They are 100% of all world boss attempts right now. There was one other guild who has even attempted morpheus since I went pirate, and they were only able to attempt it due to an attempted deal with us (which failed, and they haven't been back since). Nearly anytime Rangora is contested, it's legacy. They're the only guild we go "♥♥♥♥ legacy scout is here, we gotta go quick". No east guild and no other west guild elicits a reaction. Remove Legacy and the vast majority of fun world pvp is gone.

Don't worry, East. It's not over yet. "Beating" Legacy by making the game so boring they all quit is not a viable solution to their dominance. The night is always darkest before sunrise, and the sunrise is coming soon.

Exploit on exploit? Only exploit used we don't even really need to use, seeing as we were easily doing it without. And mortars aren't an exploit.
