    Hello ladies & gentlemen,

I was thinking of returning to Archeage, and I was wondering if Pwnography had endured?

I see. Thank you for the information. Sad to hear for me, but since I wasn't playing anymore (along with some of the original members) I had feared as such... Shame on me for letting them down

Its actually worse than that, the sanctus member that took lead of pwn sold his guild out and switched to the east leaving a bunch of pwn's members and officers empty handed/tagless.

Keep the salt out of this thread. He asked a simple question.

Pwn leadership and a handful of former members went to Devils Brigade on the East side.

This is just an attempt at making something distracting to read and in memory of Pwnography. Please remember that English is not my first language

Please also take note that this is from my perspective alone with a little fantasy^^.

    The draw of Halcyona plains.

In the beginning of September, an army was assembling. For too long had the Nuian region been under Harani domination. These small beings and pestered cats needed to be remembered to whom this land was. Under the supervision of General Faramere, Commander Zeek assembled an elite team of members from Pwnography.
Together, they managed to win a few minor engagements with the enemy, depriving him of his scouts. Galvanized by these early victories, the disbanded Nuian forces gathered around this new group, seeing in them the promise of glory.
The now recomposed Nuian army advanced on the Harani fort, bent on breaking the enemy when he was least prepared.
Taken unawered, the battle was short and the victory swift. Yet, something was amiss. The encampment had been little occupied. Only a small number of enemies had actually been there.
Sensing a trap, Zeek ordered the army to regroup at the Nuian command fort. On the way, we managed to capture the enemy flag, once more gaining support to our cause with this blow to the Haranis. But the battle had only started, and night was falling…

Once our troups fully mustered, we sent off once again to our foes fort. Finding there a much larger force than previously, we were able to trap many of them within their walls and cut them down. We would have done much more, had it not been for the arrival of the Harani imperial army, forcing us the retreat to a safe distance. The siege of the fort began….

The skirmishes went on all night, the Nuian forces grinding slowly their way through the enemy’s most elite troops. In a desperate attempts to break us, the heroes of Haranya used the devastating fire bombs, raining a torrent of death on the besieging army. What a pitiful attempt. Not letting themselves be undermined by this foul new weapon, Zeek and Faramere managed to keep our group from dispersing, and the siege went on.

It was only in the early hours of the morning that a new challenge arose for the east. Having heard of their possible defeat at our hands, the Harani desperately scrambled a counter attack on our right flank, just as we were pushing into their fort. Initially taken aback by this offensive, our forces quickly reformed ranks. We were able to push them back, almost annihilating this mounted division, but not without sacrifice.

As the sun drew higher, the priest of Nui declared a truce, for enough blood had been spilt in one night. The battle ended with a draw; but all there will remember that night. For on that night, Pwnography showed the world they could pose a threat…
    The two treasons of Freedich
All was well in this early September. Pwnography was celebrating its brand new merchant ship. Joy and humor could be found in abundance as it was loaded for the first trip to Freedich. Little did we know that a beast was lurking in the shadows, waiting to hit where it hurt most.
Accompanied by our worthy allies, Spero Empire, we sailed straight for the island. All was well. The Haranians were nowhere to be seen, the path was clear; or so we thought.
As soon as the ship was unloaded, we started to make or way into the island, and all hell broke loose.
Sanctus, a guild we had but heard from, assaulted us in numbers and in strength. Taken aback, we tried to oppose resistance, but against such an unsuspected treachery from our own, we were slaughtered. Having lost our goods, we regrouped and fought, vengeance burning in our hearts. Alas the harm was done, and the killing that followed was meaningless.

Once the fury burning within us had fallen, we left, bent on never again giving Sanctus any rest. Unanimously, they were proclaimed our first true enemy, and we were ordered to oppose them as often as possible. Little good did that do us.
Thus was the consequence of the first Treason of Freedich. But Sanctus hadn’t had enough.
Not knowing why kept harassing them since that day, they wanted to give us a second lesson. Seeing us depart once again from Solzreed with Sepro Empires galleon accompanying us, they planned another attack.
Patiently waiting near Freedich, they launched their own galleon against us. Once again taken by surprise, we fought the best we could, but our organization was broken, and our men ill trained in naval warfare. Faramere was quickly assassinated, leaving the helm unoccupied. Trying his best to save the ship, Alexey engaged in risky maneuvers. For a while, with Speros help, we thought we could win. But Pwnographys officer failed his last attempt to pass in shallow waters, and the trade ship was lost. Even despite our allies many attempts to save our cargo, Sanctus once again obtained the fruit of our labor.
Our moral broken, our hearts filled with sadness, we watched powerless as our wretched enemy celebrated in their plunder.

But this situation was not to last forever. We would stand firm, find another source of revenue, and bond the legion together by other means.

More to be told in “29/09/2014 First Retribution”.

    29/09/2014 First Retribution
These stories will be incomplete, due to the writer not being present at all engagements. I will thus write about one, knowing that other battles have been thought.

On the end of September, and still going on now (one supposes), Pwnography was striking back.
We had suffered several blows, and we still do. But now, we were fighting back! Knowledge is the greatest power (Francis Bacon). We now knew when to strike, and we did. Not in numbers, but with an iron fist, brains and a sense of dedication.
Patiently we waited, under Zeek’s command. Unknowingly, they advanced. And like an arrow we struck. Easily disposing of the two guards, we took control of one of the two trade ships Sanctus had brought, we fled as fast as one could. We sailed far, but not enough. Enraged by our audacity, they followed on faster ships, and we lost our prey… Or did we? In their mindless pursuit, they left only two fools to protect the second vessel. Having all been brought back to life by Nui near it, we once again took control of half their trade packs. But this was a harder endeavor. The ship was far up the beach, and bringing it back to deep waters would take time. Time we did not have. As soon as our attack was none of, Sanctus dispatched one of their Galleons and many more soldiers. Thinking we would easily be dispatched, we used their own guns to bombard these fools as they set foot on the beach near us. What a glorious site it was.
Alas, our second prize was lost. But during their assault on us, they once again forgot to protect all their ships. Dex, followed by others, had been able to retake the first trade ship and flee. So well that the ship ultimately disappeared, sensing its rightful owner was no longer aboard. But in doing so, it lost its precious cargo.
15 trade packs were ours for the taking, and we did. Oh the joy we felt. But nothing was over yet. Knowing we had angered our enemies, we returned to safe haven. There, we decided on what to do with now “our” trade packs.
“Hand them in” one would say. “Hide them on a farm” yelled another.
But Zeek had his own idea. Sending scouts back to Freedich, we were amused when they reported no sign of Sanctus. Could it be true? Was the path open to us? Indeed it was. Sailing fast but with caution, we once again coasted the island. One can only imagine what we felt giving our enemies pack in for our own benefit. Grins of mischief and pride on all our faces.

Many other battles have been thought since then. Not all won, but in this conflict, we will not lose

Time had passed for Pwnography…. From the end of the war with Sanctus, to the height of its glory by conquering the first castle, we had believed ourselves unstoppable. For a time, we were. Money was no issue, resources were no issue. Under Faramere’s (and his officers) watch, we had grown. All enjoyed a quiet moment: we traded our swords for fishing lines, our pvp objectives for pve. In this, our brightest moment, we felt as if we had done enough. One by one, we left, believing that whatever happened, one other would stay behind to ensure the perenity of what we had created.
These accounts know not what lead to Faramere’s downfall. Nor do they know what lead to the loss of our castle. Nevertheless, I, and I hope others, will always remember what Pwnography was: a great team of selfish, stubborn and good for nothing happy people.
