    Blockade Policy Poll & Discussion

    Greetings Adventurers!

Recently, the team has been looking over many of our existing policies, and one in particular has come up in our discussions: Blockades. They've been the subject of many community posts and many recent events. Many players have suggested that we change our policy on blockades, but others have suggested that they are in the spirit of the sandbox.

After discussing it internally, we may be changing our stance on our prior policy of allowing blockades, but we want to hear from you guys before making any decisions. Please vote in the poll above if you would like for Trion to take action against those who set up blockades or would like to leave our existing policy in place. If you have additional feedback, please be sure to post it into the thread below.

We'll collect your feedback for the next two days, until Thursday, October 15th, 2015. We will use the final community feedback to decide on if we will be changing our blockade policy and disallowing blockades anywhere in the game.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts, adventurers!

no just no. Trion will police us on how we play the game ?? Its part of the game a blockade is never truly a blockade always ways to get around them. It adds a sandbox element to the game some enjoy. Some people block trade routes to keep the pack prices high this is thinking outa the box. Why punish people for playing the game how they want. id hate to see trion police the way we are aloud to play the game.

Because its Not "playing the game"

Its a mechanic that Green cannot attack Green inside a safe zone. Its a freedom that you are allowed to create multiple characters.

But everyone knows those extra character are just to support the main character you like. The main character is West, so you make an East Alt. Send them all the mats they need to build a cart. Then block East without ANY way to disrupt the blockade? Thats Not 'playing the game'.

You wanna 'Play the game' have your West character sitting in the cart making the blockade. I got no problem with Reds as Reds trying to blockade. Its the underhanded Green Alt whose sole purpose is to abuse the Mechanics of the game. Its completely detrimental.

Either make it a ban-able offense or design haulers to be able to just push each other around and break through or just drive through like carriages.

its complete BS to Not be allowed to attack the enemy.

The skill functionality is already something XL is working on fixing with a critical priority: http://forums.archeagegame.com/showthread.php?240766-

Blocking npcs is one thing blocking trade routes in order to keep pack prices high is a total different animal. If you dont like those people blocking declare war on them. If your guild isnt high enough then level the guild.

This is a shame that you are even looking at this. Its a sandbox. Once you start removing the sand all you have is a hole in the ground

The issue is users who have no guild who afk for hours on end in a safe zone. They can't be dominioned, and they can't be moved. There literally is very little counter-play. But if you feel otherwise, please, post away.

Riders escape does the trick no? I have yet to see a tractor blockade full of guild-less people. The Afk blockers are easy to work around if you have friends or someone to help...

Well then add physics to the haulers, make them pushable, make them take collision damage even in non-pvp zones. the code for physics weight is already in the game, just have XL turn it on.

This right here. An active blockade is one thing, and probably should be a part of this game. But creating a blockade then going afk for hours on end is another thing entirely. Someone who is afk should have zero affect on my game play.

The other part of this is being able to counter it. If someone attacks me, I can fight back. There is nothing that can be done about a blockade in a safe zone. No repercussions for the blockader, not risking anything to do this.
