Keep Calm and Om Nom: The Sweetest Home in ArcheAge is here!

Ah goddess, I think I just gained 5 pounds from looking at this house.

This week’s newest Marketplace item is a tasty treat that none can beat! If you were looking for the perfect house to go with Socke’s bed, WELL YOU HAVE HIT THE JACKPOT. Meet the Desserted Cottage, a perfect blend of culinary technique and Joyful Homebuilder Society architecture. Perched on ice cream and topped off by pancakes, this home smells just as good as it looks. (Just push your nose up against the monitor and take a good whiff! Just try to smell past that “dusty monitor” scent!)

You’ll be able to find this modern marvel on both Fresh Start and Legacy Marketplaces!

The Cottage itself spawns the chocolate randomly from a fountain on the side. Keep an eye on it to get some delicious building materials.

i built this house on 1 of my toons. Here is what i learned so far.

#1) the candies do not have a spawn timer like the spawns on a farmhouse or barnacles on boat or bungalow.
#2) the candy house is 28x28. which leads me to believe it has the same type of RNG spawns as the tree house. If this is the case and the Candies that can spawn are as rare as trying to get a Thunderstruck tree from a tree house, then this will degrade the value and interest of this new house. No one will want to wait 5 years to get enough bound chocolate candies (10) to build a small chair. totally not worth it if its that kind of a forever wait.
#3) the fireplace has the ember just like the other upgraded houses get.
#4) there is no jar with dailies to do.
#5) it appears that there will be enough room in front for a couple larders. the sides will hold seed bundles and the back for single planting or small bushes like the bay bush.
#6) the craftable candy furniture so far does not seem to be bound and can be traded or sold.
#7) according to the tooltip the candies that spawn to make the furniture is bind on pickup. The spawned candies also have a use buff. 1 hour buff of +10% increase to loot drop rates and gold drops.

over all though, the candy house does look good and appetizing. If you are a plushie fan, then this is a house for you however, the rate of chocolate candy spawns may be a bit of a let down. So far, for me its a let down.
