    Family Fishing, is this intended?

After returning from a long break from AA, I returned to fishing and found it very counter-intuitive and frustrating. When fishing with family, upon looting a sport fish, it will randomly place it on the back of a near family member. I heard about this functionality prior to starting but I was under the impression that this was a bonus fish not the actual fish just caught. What point does this serve? More often than not, all it does is make the person whom was already fishing loose their fish when another family member's fish appears on their back. So is the point to make someone else store the fish for you while you screw them out of the fish they were working on? Distance nor grouping had no affect.

Can this functionality be turned off? What am I missing here or is this simply a bug that XL hasn't gotten around to fixing?

    Any kind of sport fishing:
Picking up fish is influenced by the loot settings in your party/raid.
Pick "Free for all" and everyone in your group is able to pick it up just like it used to be. The problem is the change from "free for all" (unnamed back then) to "random" now.
A child of song, a child of rage
    Abandoned in another age
Now ancient hate and rhymes that bind
    Make paradise a tomb divine
And demons trapped in beauty’s thrall
Hunt those who heed the bloodsong’s call.

Thank you! Such a simple solution.
