    Archeage is an sandbox MMO, isn't it?

    I really have to start a own topic for this because I really have a big problem with, that people think that it is bad if not enough epics and legendarys are available in the auction house.

    In my eyes, its pretty awesome because people are NOT be able to cash up instant an epic buff or buy EZ a extremly high-scored weapons.

    This is an sandbox MMORPG and in the center of this mmo, there is a weird, mysterious word "Crafting". Mh...what could crafting mean? Its totally weird. People can start to make their own gear. Wow, thats amazing !

    It is true, that new player can NOT keep up with old players, even on Fresh Start. But the reason for this is the new Trading System, the way charcoals are become obtained and the fact that it was damn easy to create gold and apex the first month of the Fresh Start which is not longer possible if you don't want to fish with 12 alts.

    If you look around on the Fresh Starts, you will see a lot player running around with 3.500 - 5.500 Gearscore.

    Even on legacy server, most of this people are NOT willing to spend hundreds or thousands of $ for gear and thats another point why the most won't have an benefit from a AH merge. It simply dosen't matters. Only people with high amounts of gold can buy that gear.

    In the end - a very small group of players will benefit from an AH merge - and the people which benefit can pew pew the most of the less geared player more ez

    The reasons were: 0 limitations, too many RM advantages
    If the players can get advantages vs others they will try to get them. AA in EU/NA region is 3 legged spider. Regist accounts and transfer resources are totally free in our regions. There is no "1 player = 1 account" limitation. XLGames didn't create harder log in limitations because Korea has harder rules in MMO games. Trino ignored this problem and make it bigger with stupid "multi region accounts" (1 account, 2 regions and separated resource generation in this regions.) . And Trino insert too many and too big advantage items in RM marketplace. Most of "High-end" upgrades are bound to RM market. Do you want the best tradeship crate/ best car/best hauler/best in game armors and weapons? BUY items from RM market! Or wait for others who will spend RM and sell this items!

    This 2 factors will generate many problems in AA. P2w and or "Non fair play" are only destructives for community. But this two factors will accelerate gear generation too. Without unlimited RM shop resources and without unlimited accounts and resource transfer you can't generate high quality item faster than all other players in normal game mode. If we can't buy 1000 APEX and 500 charms in 1-2 minutes we can't generate huge gear gap. Less or 0 p2w = REAL players will get same gear or they will not get this huge gear disadvantages. All other problems are irrelevants vs this problems. Non balanced PvP, bugs or exploits? That is less pain. Developers/publishers can fix problems, kick cheaters and all players get same environment. But nobody will fix the brainless resource injections.
    RM shop: strategic resources without in game activity. Unlimited resources
    multiaccount: huge material/item generation level and low demand.

    The System is working well, but external sources generates too many resources. And this will kill the game. (oh, Wait! It's done. it's "ded" )

    Wherever did you get the idea AA is a "Sandbox" game?

    It is, at best, a Sand-Park. There are a ton of non-sand-parky elements through the entire construct.

    And yes, yes, "But I have CHOICES . . ." isn't anywhere near enough. All by itself.

    Because theme-park games have lots of choices in them as well for game-play outlets.
    If you are going to Sand Box a blockade, Sand Box demands you have the mojo to hold and maintain it - not coast on the code to do it for you in safe zones. - Bramble

    ArcheAge hasn't been a sandbox anymore for the past two years. I wouldn't even call it a "sand-park" anymore. Just another themepark but with a lot less and worse content compared to others and with a lot of artificial time gating through RNG.
