Seems it is getting worse and worse on EU servers. Getting DC in every 10-15 min...sometimes even more quickly.
Getting loyalty tokens seems to be mission impossible. (Lost out on so many of these during the weeks when NA servers ISP was under attack). And not attempting any trade runs.

This http://www.digitalattackmap.com/#ani...17505&view=map indicates that right now the main destination in EU is Spain (related to Catalonia independence aspirations?)

Spain network, especially one provider using DSL had problems in the past. There were players who were unable to play AA when they used their DSL connection, but even players outside EU who tried to connect, and were routed through their network in Spain had the problem as well. The DSL modems used by that provider were not particulary safe...

In this case (player outside EU) Pingzapper or any other way of re-routing worked. If you were on DSL network of said provider - tough luck.

So far it seems that customers of Deutsche Telekom are only mildly affected (little to no DCs).

    To Winterweaver:
I can assure you that Archeage environment has similar DDoS mitigation tools in effect. Problem is occuring on two (maybe more) separate segments of EU network. As said above, different environments are handling that from range "no symptoms at all" to "intermittent DCs".

Large scale human history can be seen, as much as anything else, as a series of titanic dramas with the single animating principle: we will ****ing kill you.

Same here. Though I fought the DDoS by very frequently checking online status, so I at least got my loyalty tokens. As for trade runs, they became history.

When NA was under attack I checked the map, but no real consistency or indicators. This however shows a very heavy attack, and I wouldn't wonder if it was a political aim or statement. And yes

was a first inspiration that popped up in my mind - with assistance from anon groups. It shows typical signs. If so I don't think we should expect it resolved within weeks. Funny time indicator though is that it seems attacks are at their peak during our european nighttime.
If it is cyberwarfare against spain, its government and businesses I would expect it to be in the daytime. But I haven't had significant dc's these past before-noon timeframes. Last night it was increasingly unbearable.

I have no doubt they are working and fighting frantically. They do have my sympathy, and I don't blame them - so, I am not ranting or flaming Trion. Merely pointing towards that ISP's maybe can be expected not always to do everything in their power.

    Now were at it
    Pingzapper
    Or similar rerouting.

Do any of you (or others) know if Trion doesn't consider it some kind of violation. Can't really see why since I mostly use VPN's and they can't forbid me that. But sometimes a common sense and use of alternative secure means doesn't always have the consent of a provider.

You can't even reliably haul the basic packs in this game without an alt or escort to watch for your disconnect. Ddos or not. It just adds fallacy to the "were doing everything we can" statements.

Well - off topic: Your deceptive argument is a fallacy in itself, since all characters including mains and alts can, will be and have been - disconnected, so how can extra transport assistance be useful?
Sure in case of normal server service and uptime, but during a DDoS - misleading argument. It might help but in case of NA server DDoS I experienced it mostly made things worse.

Topic about tools which reduce ping, based on re-routing was discussed before on forums. In general its not bannable (and in general it does not work that much). It might help in situations when one route is working fine, and another route is experiencing trouble.

In term of investigation, i didn't saw DC during daytime of EU, on NA ddos november, or for the EU ddos december. On the otherside, major DC are on primetime EU so daytime for USA, and was on daytime/primetime for USA. I assume hackers are based on USA, and so are sleeping at night like any normal human. Because there was DC at 2am on EU time, and there is same amount online than at 2pm, but no DC at 1pm (which is 8-10am on USA)

Somewhere far up in this thread they said it would not be a violation to use Pingzapper. I didn't use it, but a lot of people said it worked almost all the time.

Thank you all for answers and response to Pingzapper etc ...

I searched forums for Pingzapper and the answer from Scapes is the closest to acceptance I have seen:

We haven't disallowed the use of IP tunneling services.
Why he negates a positive attitude towards acceptance - I have no clue. 'Haven't disallowed'? I haven't seen clear answers like "yes it is allowed" or "go ahead using tunneling services". But at least it isn't 'disallowed'. Can't people deliver a complete an unquestionable answer

Not that it matters much to me since my ping is between 23 to 43, but it might route me outside the DDoS if I'm lucky.
