    Mages' skill cap, DOT and utility are extremely buffed. I understand the range nerf, it was coming especially when you had end game mages one shotting people with chain alone from 25m. Now you gotta learn to play your class vs press 1,2,3 or spellweave and kill 10 people. I like the changes they made.

    It's true, if you learn the new classes as mage, melee or healer you can really do a lot with every class. I am not even upset about the range nerf anymore, with all the awesome cc we got. Too bad archers are the new Darkrunners and don't actually need to learn their class.

    Ha! that's correct but double time is so good against archers haha.

    The archers that were here, before all this glorious buffing, have something to say about "not needing to learn our class".
    1. Every dmg type does butt loads of dmg now, without needing combos, just positioning.
    2. Anything with 2+ mobility skills, mainly teleports and double time, can wreck any brain dead or undergeared archer. We don't just kill you in two non-crit shots, we still have to know how to get away from someone jumping onto us, and songcraft for archery is pretty meh, outside of dmg alone, which is why ppl play song specs, for the " herrderr, I'm a God" dmg buffs. (I play shadehunter)

    This meta is built around "Kill me in 2 crits or I'll kill you" which causes ANY class type to be considered braindead, in just needing to get your big hits off within 5 seconds of the opponent(s) trying to get off theirs. Skill is a minor factor in this game right now, just awareness of your positioning, and whether or not you have full crit dmg and res/toughness in your gear.

    Please don't take me serious, the best players I knew in this game have all been archers. Way before this patch even. And I am still able to tell the difference between a good and a bad archer. I am talking about the kind of geared archers you never saw anywhere before the patch and that now use songs to stack abyssal charges, missile rain GR raids from 50m+ and jump on their ravenspine whenever I get close to them.
