    Hey, there is a simple equation for you to consider:

    Nk = Number of kills required to steal something
    Jt/k = Jailtime per kill
    JtMax = Jailtime maximum
    VoJt = Value of Jailtime
    Vol = Value of loot
    Vot = Value of time if you do other things than jail


    Nk * Jt/k = JtMax


    Vol
    -------- = VoJt ---> if (VoJt) ≥ (Vot) then the crime is paying off.

    This system is stupid, but it's already in-game, and when any issue is considered too hot, they do absolutely nothing, hell, after nearly 4 years, you can still see some of the same bugs from launch, that, combined with the fs servers, pushed even more ppl out of the game, legacy servers are way down in population and fs servers its just a matter of time, but hey, hardcore potatoes are loving it, after all, dead servers are awesome to them, they already had 5/7 dead servers, soon it will be 7/7.

    I think archeage lost more players from green pirating than anything else, wise choice of the developers. Green pirating is really unfair and should have severe consequences.

    It's a good change, the game is meant to be nation vs nation. If you can green pirate easily without any real consequences then there's no point in Nuia vs Haranya war. Everybody went green pirates instead of being in the pirate faction, that abuse killed the game along with gear gap system.

    The current situation is that most (all?) servers are dominated by a player nation which dominates over a weaker East and West. Green pirating and purpling only serves to weaken the already disadvantaged original factions, since PNs do not generally green pirate themselves and don't have the same problems staying united. At this point you are actively contributing to the death of your faction and the game every time you steal from and troll your own faction. Purpling should always have had a harsher penalty than it did, but now that PNs dominate it's even more important to curtail it.
