    Melee damage OP

    For long time Darkrunners was the op class for damage and stun trip combo
    after a balance this class was nerfed (and battlerage in general)
    now we have the same issue, impossible to play vs melee
    as cloth mage with 10k pdef 8.5k resil and 30% melee dmg reduction i was always 3 shotted in 1 sec (same gs battlerage users)
    (charge 5k dmg - Triple Strike 7k each - whirlwind 10k each - precision strike 15k)

    on contrary with 1900 magic attack cant do dmg vs leather (6k crit light meteor with 4 mt radius)

    pls balance

    Everyone except the obvious troll knows it. Just do what most people do and switch to melee. Maybe when they notice barely anyone plays anything else the devs will get a clue.
    Epic Erenor Scepter - 856 Magic Att, 733 gimped DPS.
    Epic Erenor Katana - 815.3 DPS.
    Epic Erenor Bow - 693 DPS... worse than the gimped weapon even though it's a primary weapon.
    "Balance" . . . This doesn't even take in to account the 978.4 epic erenor nodachi, or 978 mAtt staff.

    I have 5k pdef and am doing just fine. can 1 combo leather and plate (most plate, some built for mdef reduction are rough) easily with only 1650 mag attack

    Leather is overpowered as hell. It has the highest total resists possible out of any set in the game if you consider cloaks and costumes etc, its disgusting. Also, with the resil changes nobody is doing damage.....like legit nobody is doing damage. You can run into situations where both sides have enough healers (literally just 1) and you all just stand there spamming ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ till you're out of mana and nobody dies.... so small 5v5 and 10v10 pvp is dead as ♥♥♥♥.

    On top of that, this recent patch that introduced the ancestral mobility skills also NERFED EVERY MAGIC RATIO IN THE GAME! So yeah, gonna have to wait for them yet again to remove nerfs from magic and rebalance the game yet again because XL games is incompetent in that aspect and really bad at math.

    Theres no reason for a 2h nodachi user to be as tanky as someone with a shield due to helmet toughness and resilience.
    Truth:


    Trion and XL games hates everything I say because its the truth and stings like fire.
    Exposing the weaknesses in your circuit would send most to react in a way to fix the chain.
    Instead we get to see an awkward teen afraid of its flaws hiding them under the rug.

    All other things the same, resilience currently has the effect of tuning down most people's critical hits to being about 1.5x a regular hit. The workaround is to stack defense penetration on a target, so regular hits are harder, and critical hits are now a multiple of that 1.5x floor value. The amount of info, understanding, and coordination to do that makes this not happen in practice though. Think: songcraft combo, bullwark ballad, battlerage passive trigger(for physical defense), library set trigger, soulbound edge(?) in malediction, etc.
    Witchcraft does a good job of mana burning targets until they're out of mana and their mana pots are on cooldown, then it's dying time. It's obnoxious, but so is standing around and bouncing off each other because everyone is playing a support class or inefficient dps and wondering why nobody can 'win' fights.

    I'm pessimistic here, so I doubt OP wants to sort out any 'l2p issues', as the other guy put it, but those are some of the options besides playing the victim.

    Not everything is like you say it is. Healing is getting nerfed in KR so we should have that soon (maybe a few months if you are hopeful).

    There are two things that kill this patch burst damage and CC. People will be killed if they get attacked together even with heals if there is enough damage hitting them at once aka burst damage. CC also kills, healers can't heal if they are CC'd meaning people will die.

    As for your claim of 2h people being as tanky as someone having a shield i find that laughable. 2 players of same gear sets minus weapons and shield the guy with the shield will be tankier. First off he can block attacks secondly he will have more defense downside is how defense scales once you get to a point it has diminishing returns also shields are taken off all the time in pvp.

    On top of this you have to look at perspective. You are using a 1h weapon + Shield against a 2h. The 2h has more damage so he will hit a guy with a shield decently a guy with a 1h and a shield hitting someone with a shield is obviously going to hit less than the 2h guy.

    So saying as tanky is only relative to the situation. Hes hitting you for 5k while you have a shield and you are hitting him 5k while using your 1h it equals out he gets more damage for being less tanky while you get less damage for being more tanky.

    Mages are in a very bad shape now, and now with the resilience nerf it just puts the class at a big disadvantage.

    All the players saying its a l2p issue have no idea what they are talking about.

    Resilience nerf is coming and a mage buff will be needed along with a melee nerf otherwise no one will be playing mage which is already starting to be the case.

    End game mages will kill anyone, they aren't in a bad spot they just take time to build and don't get the instant gratification at lower gear that the sword swingers do.
