@Carendash Lot of people botting to farm Hiram

There seems to be a rise in the number of people openly botting to farm Hiram lately.

They don't run them ALL the time, but when they're online they're usually auto-farming for Hiram infusions or gear. You can find them at the East's Nui in Golden Ruins or WHM or Reedwind usually. And there are probably some that are West too (I haven't checked).

WHM is particularly bad with a solid 6 or so cheaters running around.

These characters are all outrageously easy to spot: kill them and they move and perform the exact same way *every* time. The only exception to this is if the cheater is actually at the keyboard and then they may react. But the majority of the time, the characters just automatically and mindlessly execute their bot programming.

I've been reporting a batch of them consistently for 2 WEEKS and they are still running around regularly, unbanned.

Please take some action on these cheaters and their accounts.

Just create a ticket. Oh and they are aware of the obnoxiously long wait times, but that is the only solution they will offer.

Unfortunately they don't eeven look at these tickets and just close them. The last set of bots I was reporting were literally just spinning in circles farming mobs in one spot with a macro. You could literally move them away from the mobs and they would stay spinning in circles in one spot for hours on end attempting to attack, casting buffs, and looting nothing.

No actuions taken for weeks after the tickets closed and only because I ended up messaging Tinen about it onthe forums.

So unless you are ready for a weeks long fight then you may as well just farm somewhere else.
Epic Erenor Scepter - 856 Magic Att, 733 gimped DPS.
Epic Erenor Katana - 815.3 DPS.
Epic Erenor Bow - 693 DPS... worse than the gimped weapon even though it's a primary weapon.
"Balance" . . . This doesn't even take in to account the 978.4 epic erenor nodachi, or 978 mAtt staff.

On Nui, botting has been pretty common ever since the introduction of hiram. There were several high profile botters who got slapped with short temp bans a couple of months ago (months after they stopped botting in some cases). Ever since those temp bans, people started botting heavily again. I think it's because they feel like they can bot basically 24/7 for a few months, get reported again and again, and still just get a 1-2 week temp ban with no gear removed since that's already been shown to be Gamigo's reaction. There is no fear of lasting punishment, so basically everyone does it to some degree, whether it's 24/7 and obvious or they put the bot on and do something on another window so that they can react to attackers/observers as if they are not botting.

It sets a wonderful example for the rest of the server. Sent in video evidence of a bot that briefly had the highest gearscore on Nui, along with his bot healer that raised at least one other character, and what happened? The main's jewelry was stripped, account sold, and I saw the healer in a pvp video a few months after that. As a legit player, that pretty much screams to me "you can't beat 'em, may as well join 'em." Gotta love the in-game reporting button too. What a placebo when there's no live gm's to actually follow up on a report.

PS: don't go into the northeast hiram area, you'll either be sad about the pirate botters, or killed by the hero or other non-afk protectors.

    Heya,

Please always make sure to report suspicious activities like botting.
We take those very serious and the customer service will take care about it.
While creating a ticket for botting we ask you to provide unedited footage like Screenshots and Videos ( no zooms / arrows e.g. ).

Please keep in mind that the customer service cannot give any information about accounts that are not your own.

Take it seriously? I thought lying was not allowed on the forums. There is a difference between saying something and actually doing something.

That’s cool and all, but how many months do we need to wait until support gets back to us regarding anything?
