    Territory Siege Changes

    Hello Erenorians,
As many of you have already seen in the Korean version, the territory siege system is going to be revamped and this change will also be applied to the NA and EU regions. With the Echoes of Hiram update we have already stated that player nations can no longer be declared or created. Unfortunately, there are more changes coming along with the revamp of the siege system.

With the July Update, currently targeted for July 24th, the housing areas of Sungold Fields, Heedmar, Exeloch, Nuimari, Marcala and Calmlands need to be removed. We know that a lot of you who have their houses in these regions will lose their beloved and nicely decorated homes. This decision was not easy, however, this change is mandatory to progress towards the new siege system.

We assure you that there will be compensation for all existing housing owners that are losing their homes and we are currently preparing everything so the affected players who have already built a house there receive the compensation with the demolishing of their houses. The complete compensation list is still in discussion, but it will definitely include prepayed taxes, decoration limit increases together with the normal demolition via mail. In preparation for this change we are asking you to avoid building any additional housing items that would be lost like e.g. adding a Mining Drill shortly before the maintenance. As we cannot send you a compensation for these items.

Additionally, existing Player Nations will be in the state of Pending Collapse. We understand that it’s very frustrating for the Player Nations to lose their castles and land. Therefore, a Territory Statue Scroll will be provided to the Sovereign of each Player Nation, so that they can at least have the faction statue buff. This scroll will be available until the new siege system will be implemented which is currently targeted to be end of September.

Lord’s Coins cannot be obtained anymore. Recipes that required Lord's Coins are going to be adjusted and will use Dragon Essence Stabilizers instead which will match the Fresh Start recipes. With the siege revamp targeted for September players can exchange the Lord’s Coin for new Territory Coins. Territory Coins can be acquired by the ruling faction.

Since there are plenty of changes coming up, the team would love for you all to share your feedback about them.
    Thank you,
    ~The ArcheAge Team

Update: The removal of housings and territory structures has been delayed until August 7th, to ensure the smoothest transition for players. Further details are provided in this post: http://forums.archeagegame.com/showt...=1#post2749719

Update:: Territory Building compensation has been completed. However, housing compensation has been delayed due to some technical issues. Further details are provided here.

Thank you for finally addressing the many threads on Lord's Coins. Is there a plan for more information on the exchange of Lord's Coins for Territory Coins? Can players who are not in ruling factions make this exchange? What will Territory Coins be useful for? Those of use who have been collecting these daily for many months for Erenor gear are trying to plan what we should be doing with these in the meantime.

    Thanks.

I am glad we have had some forwarning of this change, however I am concerned about the effects this will have on the Archeum supply.

Hiram Gear is being upgraded left and right, but to craft the Quills for the scrolls you need Moonlight and Sunlight Archeum. I believe the vast majority of Archeum is being farmed via the Northern continent as this is the only place you can grow the trees that give it. With farm land being removed this leaves players who need Archeum no option but to 'illigal' farm them, which I can see being a nightmare. (Note: there are a few other ways of getting archeum, but not in any seriouly large quantities like you can with the trees).

This is seriously going to slow progress and hugely increase Archeum prices between now and September - assuming land will be avalible to farm the trees again then which might not be the case.

Are there any plans to address this shortage of Archeum between now and then?

    Hello!
What about the current heroes of the Player Nations?
They cannot reach the 100 Mobilization Orders to aquire the reward they are aiming for.
Will there be a compensation for this or should we stop to aim for the completion of the Hero Quests?

and what about heroes in player nations, will they still be able to make hero calls (mobilization orders) in their owned territories?

if we cannot make mobilization orders after the patch then there is only 12 days left, which is 60 orders in total which is not enough to complete our hero quest that requires 100.

if thats the case, please come up with a solution or compensation with the reward.

will the new siege patch will be up before the disband nation time, with enough time to get a territory to not disband?? or will the nations be gone straight before the patch? if thats the case.. seems unfair

    Hey @iArches,

I am one of them many players in a player nation that will be affected by these changes. We know that there is a Race Change ticket in the game currently that KR used to move players after the new races were added. Since the main reason players use Player Nations was to join friends that started the game as the opposite side, could we see the implementation into our version since we have no ability to move the now bound gear such as hiram.

Will Hero's receive compensation? Losing all castles on the 24th will cause a lot of people to not be able to hit the required 100 Hero Calls.
