Darsy Legacy Feedback: Golden Plains Battle

    Hello XL, Hallo QA,

today I will have a proper write-down of a Topic that has been bothering me on the Legacy version of the game.
The Golden Plains Battle mostly known as "Halcy" for players. It is a very popular event in our region, even with the changes done to it. It is one of the only proper Non-Balanced platforms where players are allowed to participate with their hard-earned Gear and show their dedication to the Faction / Nation they do represent.

This event is available twice a day, every 12hours for 1 hour. Players receive three entries which will be granting full rewards for participating.
The idea behind making a cross-server event is amazing and does always make things more exciting due to meeting up with People one might not see on the home server. It allows the player to communicate and interact with a complete different Community just by joining via Group finder. But here is also where the Problem starts, the Golden Plains Battle has issues to Match groups and either return "Could not find enough opponents" or does let you in and after a "Stand by" Phase you are getting thrown out.

One part of the issue is that players are queuing their Alternative Characters as teams which mainly removes real players the possibility to join the Event. The current restrictions are not having any impact on players on the Legacy servers.

    Required Equipment Points: 4000
    Req. Level: 30+

Through the distribution of the Homecoming Gear Sets, most Alternative characters are 4.500 Equipment Points or higher.
Rising that the Equipment Point requirement will only make it minimally harder and not change the current situation. Additionally, it will prevent new Players from participating in Events that provide important resources for the development of their new character. The population of Legacy indeed has very few beginners, but they do exist and must also be thought about.

Players that do manage to get through the initial Spot allocation via Groupfinder are very often placed in Raids with a high amount of Players being away from their keyboard. Those might be either real players just trying to avoid the event and grab the reward or might be alternative Characters.

Regardless of which one of those two mentioned it is, not participating but still receiving the reward is the issue. In a recent patch, we have received the Vote-Kick system which in the end made the Event even worse than before. Granting a raid the possibility to remove evildoers is a nice intention. But due to offering a Majority-Vote the decisions do not always make sense.

    Example:
    Pirate Raid:
    A) 20 Participants: Out of those 20 we will have 15 Alts and 5 real Players
    B) 20 Participants: 10 Alts, 10 real Players
    C) 20 Participants: 8 Alts, 9 real Players, 3 Players which are away from their Keyboard
In all those 3 mentioned cases a vote Kick is not possible. The Characters that should have been kicked are untouched and could even retaliate. Quite often this function is abused to remove Players, someone does not like. Or Alternative characters do vote Kick real players due to the majority in the raid.
In a proper Fight environment, a Player does constantly move their Characters, there is at no point in the Event a time where the Character is not doing something. A Player is always either running around to reform with the Raid, scouting, attacking or defending. In this case, it would not hurt to receive an AFK Arena buff like from Gladiator Arena which would prevent those Characters to join in further events. By setting the Timer low for be it 45 seconds, it would make it harder and less comfortable for people that do try to queue with more than one character.

Current still ongoing issues on Legacy Servers :
    1. Group finder does not Match players into proper groups
    2. Created Groups are not able to participate if the leader of the Group crashes. The remaining group members are left on Standby meanwhile the event has already begun
    3. Due to removing the Event from the Home Servers, the War cycles in Halcyona has lost its meaning. Additionally, a big part of the open-world aspect has been removed.
    4. Too many Alternative characters are joining without getting punished / Players do AFK just for rewards.
    5. Only Platform that offers NON-Balanced PVP
    6. 1 Hour is too short, the Event is during other Activities

    Suggestions:
Adding back the Home Server Halcyona event (Halcyona turns into War = Golden Plains Battle starts) and having additionally the current Cross-Server Golden Plains Battle with the usual timers.
Benefit: Players can push the event to timers, that are reasonable and it offers opportunities to fight with an objective for a larger group of players on demand. It is providing a sandbox feeling: Do something to trigger something.
Removing the current Vote-Kick or changing the way it works to only Hereos with cloak being able to initiate a Kick.
Additionally, adding an AFK Buff like in other Arenas.

I am looking forward to see Feedback from all of you. Please do post what you think and what could be better!

Most Legacy Servers problems are solved by banning MULTIWINDOW!

What are XLGAMES guilty of? This problem occurs because of alts! People are greedy and run 5-8 multiwindows. One alt will not loading and therefore throw away. There is no similar problem on RU and KR clients of the game, because there is NO MULTIWINDOW! Not only are alts breaking the economy, but people are still trying to protect the multiwindow. And they still wonder why they throw out. It's very stupid.

Why come up with any restrictions in equipment, IF YOU CAN JUST BAN MULTIWINDOW!!! First, it will bring back the economy. Second, alts will disappear from cross-server events.

    Nice potatos-game, GAMIGO: http://forums.archeagegame.com/showt...ing-alts-abuse
Each player with a multi-window must be equal to players who do not have the ability to run even two active alts in multiple multi-Windows! Remove multiwindow and let each person on their alts comes in turn, as it is on RU and KR clients of the game. And it will solve not only the problem with the economy, which is killed by active alts in a few multiwindow (without patron: regeneration labor to earn gold). The rest of the multiwindow problems at the link above.

i think the afk timer is a good first move, so at least afk People have to leave.
Vote-Kick is in no case a solution, as you will have always personal decisions that may affect People that do not deserve it.
as you named, new Players cannot help the raid, but Need to participate.
often they are told to stay in base to not feed the Opponent, but then get kicked for being inactive.
also, any afk Player that remains in respawn does not in any way affect the raid, once gotten into the raid.
the only issue is, if it prevents other Players from joining, but that is a design Problem.
and there is another Major Problem, Players try to join, but System tells us there are too few Players, which has to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from the design idea already.
if there is one Player joing it has to be enough.
no Need to manipulate the battle but Setting artificial participant numbers that cause Problems all over the way.

simple rule ==> Player wants to join and gets Pop into battle, no wait, not Evaluation, simple as that.
if there are few People on one side, ist just "♥♥♥♥ happens", why lock them off and prevent all Players from doing the Event then? NO REASON!
