In-Home NPC Selling Units - TRANSFORMATIONAL

If you guys gave us the ability to sell items from an NPC we place in our house (instead of on the AH), it would add a completely different level to the game.

You could give incentives to do this - such as zero tax on the transactions when sold via this method.

People would have a reason to decorate their homes, menus could be made, player housing areas would be active again.

It would create "main streets" like in the real world, real estate would be worth something again.

There could be a world vendor tab or something like that. Combined with the AH or not, who knows. It would allow you to see locations of items for sale, so forth and so on.

It would give a reason for people to actually want to spruce up their houses, and make them great and all that.

This was one of the most successful parts of Star Wars Galaxies, by the way. And they had a global auction house as well.

Yep! It would bring people back into the player housing areas again, helping housing issues.

Maybe something like an indicator on a map showing where player sales items are.

Maybe like if you buy it from the AH you pay a tax, but if you buy it in person you and the buyer split the tax as a refund.

It would have to be incentiveized to make it worth while. But it would definitely give people a reason to start decorating their homes and everything again.

This was HUGE in Star Wars Galaxies. People would know where to go to get certain items at certain prices and merchants would do discounts and would take pride in making their housing an appealing area to be in.
