Ohh dang that really is a big ocean if it takes 30 minutes. I miss the days of long boat rides in Everquest. Ocean of Tears was definitely a proper name for it.

I actually feel that the seas are a little smaller than what I was expecting, so I am a bit dissapointed.

Yeah I really miss the long boat ride and the occasional hiccup when you'd cross zone lines and find your avatar floating in the ocean... gawd that was a long swim back to land.
A mother, father, and their mute son were sitting at the breakfast table as they had done every day that they were a family. On this day the mother and father were discussing their plans for the day when all of a sudden their mute son says "My cornflakes are soggy." The parents look at their son in disbelief and then the mother manages to say "You can talk! We thought you were a mute!" The son frowns and says "Of course I can talk, but up until now everything has been fine."

They can always expand them though. so it's not an overly huge issue.

I'd say it's a pretty good size myself, not so small it's negligible, but also not so big that sailing the entire thing can put people to sleep.
    Fabulous!

Yes, the nice thing is that there is plenty of room to expand the seas around the entirity of the continents and beyond.

For the most part I just feel that the Castaway Straight and Halcyona Gulf are a bit tiny. The Arcadian is a decent size though.

TBH I kinda like the smaller feel of the Gulf and the Straight, makes the Arcadian see feel much bigger in comparison and was a very smart move if you look at it that way :P

Also once they add the leviathan, which roams in circles around the entire arcadian sea, I'd much rather have a medium-sized sea to find him in than a huge one (he's pretty fast too)
    Fabulous!

Kraken is in the northern part of the Arcadian (north) sea. You won't run into him going from West->East :P

at it's shortest point iirc it was .4 miles. the first trade run we did (somewhere in the west's crescent to the north turn in for dragon something on the east side) was about 6 miles.

using a tape measure and a googled map, this means from the crescent to the north continent is roughly 16 miles.

that being said, while its probably only 10-15 minutes, you can spend plenty of time exploring in the ocean. some of the most fun ive had was exploring it, and you can be rewarded for it as well. Found sunken treasure, 3 hidden quest/quest line (personal breathing aparatus), story, raid boss(s), and so on.
