    Should I play or not?

I have Archeum, but I don't really play I'm wondering whether if I should participate in Alpha or not.

so wait let me get this... you paid $150 but might not play?? Well I guess for the items and currency it's worth it. Idk I say play it but dont expect it to be perfect. Im jealous lol. But yeah at least you'll know somewhat what the game feels like.

Any reason why you don't really play?

Not much other than bored, and the feeling that the progress I put into a character or characters now will be in vain since the progress will either be gone or transferred over to the void of what would be called public test realm.

Ah well those are good reasons. Guess if you're going to play later than no harm in that.

The whole point of playing alpha is to learn how to succeed faster in release... Like learn how to get good gear at 50, learn the best ways to level to 50 (hidden quests etc), learn the best trade routes, best housing/farm locations, how to clear dungeons fast, which mobs in auroria to farm at 50, etc.

If you don't care about being a top player on release and just want to take it slowly then yeah, might as well not play alpha

Side note: 90% of content released in later patches will be 50+ content, so you're going to have to level a guy to 50 when it becomes to PTS to test new content anyways

From my experience as a MMO player, I know there are caps. Honestly I think faster to "succeed" has nothing to do with being a top player.

Well since it is alpha there is also the fact you can have fun finding/experimenting with exploitable bugs.

I'm in the same boat. Don't want to get too attached to alpha because it's going to be deleted anyways. I paid the 150 ($200AU) but I won't get into it too much yet

While I can understand your point of view of not rushing I am just curious why you bothered to pay $150 for Alpha?
In my case I did because I really really wanted to play and see all the things- I am even trying out all the races just because why not?
makes it easier to decide what you want later on.
I see it as an opportunity to just experiment really.

oh are you bored with the game or just bored in general?
If you are bored with the game already then you might have made a very costly mistake
