    Transfers and Name Change Now Available for ArcheAge: Unchained!



    The Server Transfer and Name Change system has arrived to ArcheAge: Unchained. Players can now utilize the Name Change system for 1,400 Credits and transfer servers for 2,700 Credits by purchasing the items from our Glyph Store!

    However, before you hop to another server there are some requirements you will need to fulfill first! Your character should be over level 10 in order to transfer, and your character you wish to transfer must not:
    Be online at the time of transfer.
    Have unclaimed in-game or marketplace mail.
    Have any listed items on the auction house.
    Own land or have any unbuilt fixtures in the world (including drydocks).
    Be queued for deletion.
    Have been transferred within the last 30 days.
    Possess server specific items, such as Siege Scrolls.
    Be a member of a family and/or guild prior to the transfer.

    Keep in mind that the transfer process is not instant and that you will not be able to transfer across Regions (NA/EU). However, you will be able to transfer from a Legacy Server to a Fresh Start server and vice versa. It is also important to note that you cannot transfer multiple characters at once.

    Name Changes also come with it's own set of limitations. You can only change your name once every 30 days. The character name you change to must be between 4 and 26 characters, as well as be available on your server. Additionally, changing your name will lock it so you won't be able to return to it - sorry!

    Due to Name Changes and Server Transfers being part of the same system, the 30-day cooldown period is shared between both Name Changes and Server Transfers. So plan accordingly!

    The Name Change and Server Transfer system is still undergoing some fixes and testing before it arrives to the ArcheAge Servers. Don't worry, once the fixes are applied and testing is complete we'll provide an announcement of it's return to ArcheAge!

    Hello everyone,
    The team is currently working on the transfer failures, and along with that is also working on resolving the issue that is preventing them from properly resetting the cooldown when it fails. Typically, this can be resolved via a cooldown reset and refund of the transfer from CS, but for people in this specific failure case, we have found that the CS reset is not functioning as expected. We will keep you updated on any information we get on this issue, and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

    Hello again everyone,
    After the steps taken in the maintenance on January 28, the team has seen a reduction in potential transfer issues, and there have been no further failures since this maintenance. However, the team is still working on resolving those stuck in a failed state. When an update is available for those users, we'll notify you through our normal news channels.
    The team additionally will be providing compensation to those who have been stuck in the failed state, however, the details are still being discussed of what it will contain.

    Hello everyone,
    We've just deployed a script that should clear the Transfer Failed errors from players that have been affected by it since the launch of the transfer system on ArcheAge: Unchained. With this script, players will see the transfer as "Completed" on their accounts, though characters are still on their original servers. This allows players to complete a new transfer, as long as they've passed the 30-day cooldown. For folks that have not passed that 30-day cooldown, we're currently working on resetting that cooldown to enable you to try again, and I'll post an update once we've completed that.

    Our team is also currently testing the compensation for folks that have been stuck in this state, and once that has been completed we'll provide further information on the full details of compensation.
